9-26-25   THOUGHTS

We have been given LIGHT in a most marvelous way!  Some chained verses this morning paint the picture of God’s  LIGHT TO GIVE US LIFE!  We must comprehend this awesome SHINING in its FULNESS.  

Isa 9:2   The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them.
Mal 4:2   But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
Mal 4:5   "Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the LORD.”       [The text shows this to be John the Baptist]
Luke 1:67    And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying:
Luke 1:76-79    "And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; For you will go on BEFORE THE LORD TO PREPARE HIS WAYS;  77  To give to His people the knowledge of salvation By the forgiveness of their sins,  78  Because of the tender mercy of our God, With which the Sunrise from on high will visit us,  79  TO SHINE UPON THOSE WHO SIT IN DARKNESS AND THE SHADOW OF DEATH, To guide our feet into the way of peace."
John 1:4-5   In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5  The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Our Prayer:
Lord, we who live in the shadow of death, come to You for the light that is in Christ Jesus.  We praise and thank You for grace, mercy and love.  May Your light shine in us and through us to chase the darkness from our corner of the world.  Help us to be more intense in our shining of the light that is life.  May Jesus be all the world to us. O God.  Revive our souls, turn our thinking and talking into action and fruit.   In Jesus’ name,     Amen
